sOUNDsPHERE - hOERkUGEL
is a complete sphere built with loud speakers. Ear level of the listeners are about the centre of the sphere. Listeners access the sphere through a stairway onto a platform of about 9 sqm size and 1m height. Various sound spatialisation approaches are explored during the sound compositions. All compositions are in mutlichannel format, with a current number of channels of about 40 and 46 channels.
The sOUNDsPHERE and the compositions emerged from the seminar rAUMkLANGbEWEGUNG supervised by Paul Modler at the University of Media, Arts and Design at ZKM, Karlsruhe.

ichiigai is an independent label for sonic and visual art run by young artists in the vicinity of the State University for Media and Art (HFG) and the Center of Media and Art (ZKM) in Karlsruhe, Germany.
ichiigai means 'not one' or !1.
ichiigai promotes the fusion of sound, music, video and art.
ichiigai's 'on demand' nature means that media is produced to order.

Expensive large scale productions of CDs, DVDs or books are bypassed to give space to small-sized, art oriented creations: handmade.
ichiigai's concept is not focussed on a model of individual creative 'genius' or isolated creative act, but rather on a model of distributed creative action situated in modern, (computer/machine) networked communities (or societies - if you want).
Ichiigai is deeply interested the personal, intense confrontation with musical/artistic ideas, cultural production and exchange and friendship that take place in this setting.
For this ichiigai presents its works released on tours in form of
concerts, events,happenings, workshops and recording sessions. Artists releasing on Ichiigai experience sound as a unique and individual artistic language.The combination and interweavement of sound into other art forms such as traditional music, vision, performance, theatre and more is seen as the artistic field to work on. The label is run cooperatively by the artists and musicians releasing on the label.

Hier werden Produktionen aus Archiven der Elektroakustischen Musik, wie z.B. dem Archiv der DEGEM oder dem IDEAMA- und dem DEGEM-Archiv des ZKM, dem Archiv des elektronischen Studios der TU Berlin sowie anderen internationalen Archiven und Dokumentationen elektroakustischer Kunst unter verschiedenen Aspekten präsentiert.
